Oxford United's Louie Sibley has joined Rotherham United on loan until the end of the season.

The 23-year-old has made 11 appearances for the U's in the Championship this campaign and since Gary Rowett's arrival has had limited game time, playing just 16 minutes of football in Oxford's past seven league games.

Sibley moved to the Kassam from Derby County in the summer on a free transfer having come through the Rams' academy.

He made 173 senior appearances for Derby before his summer move to the U's, during that time he scored 20 goals and registered 11 assists.

He was a key part of their promotion-winning side from League One to the Championship last season, making 44 appearances across all competitions.

Rotherham, who lie 13th in League One and are unbeaten in their last six games in all competitions, travel to second-bottom Burton Albion on Saturday (15:00 GMT).
