Harrogate Town release five players after 2024-25

Harrogate Town have released forward James Daly, midfielders Dean Cornelius, Stephen Dooley and Matty Daly as well as defender Matty Foulds following the 2024-25 season.

James Daly, 25, joined Harrogate in 2023 and scored a five goals for the club and made a total of 62 appearances for the club, including 45 this season.

Cornelius, 27, joined from Scottish side Motherwell in 2023 and turned out 42 times this season, with 33-year-old Dooley making 28 appearances this term.

Matty Daly, 24, made a cumulative 102 appearances, including a previous loan spell, with 27-year-old Foulds playing 82 games over a similar loan and permanent spell at the club.

The club also said that defender Toby Sims will leave the club "to pursue his career overseas" after it mutually agreed to terminal his contract early.

Harrogate remain in contract negotiations with Anthony O'Connor, Warren Burrell, Jack Muldoon, Josh March and Mark Oxley ahead of the 2025-26 League Two campaign.
