The former head coach of the Gibraltar Women's team, Adrian Parral, has been appointed manager of Billericay Town Women.
Parral had a three-year spell in charge of the island's national team, which ended in 2018, and was most recently manager of men's side, Lions Gibraltar FC, before parting company with them, external last month.
Billericay play in the third-tier Women's National League Southern Premier and finished 10th last season, leading to the departure of former manager James Gibson.
"Adrian signs in a full-time position with the aim of building the club to challenge for a Championship place over the next three years," Billericay posted on X, formerly Twitter.
They lost 4-2 at home to fourth-tier Norwich City on Sunday despite goals by Abbi Smith and Jess Francis-Weir.
"There’s always been a part of me that misses the UK. With this opportunity, I’m excited to see where it leads," Parral said.
"My dedication is 100%. The club deserves that level of commitment from a full-time role if we want to achieve results.
"We aim for a possession-based game with a bit of Latin flair. I prefer an exciting match, even if it means taking risks."
He will take charge of the team for a first time when they play Tottenham's Under-21 side on Sunday.
