Longhurst joins Whitecaps after Reading exit

Josie Longhurst was playing for Brighton when she was first called up by Wales four years ago

Wales squad member Josie Longhurst has joined Vancouver Whitecaps after leaving Reading FC Women.

Longhurst, 22, is uncapped at senior level having first been called up to the Wales squad as an 18-year-old in 2020.

The midfielder was most recently part of the Wales squad for the Nations League games against Germany and Denmark last October.

Reading will play in the fifth tier of English football next season after the club withdrew from the Championship.

Vancouver Whitecaps play in Canada’s League1 BC.
