Torquay United manager Paul Wotton says his side's 1-1 draw at Weston-super-Mare was a 'great point'.
The Gulls fell behind when James Dodd blasted in off the bar after the Gulls had failed to deal with a 24th-minute corner.
Matt Jay then scored his second goal in as many games 11 minutes after half-time to seal a point as he blasted in from close range when Jordan Young's shot was saved.
The result, which came after the Gulls threw away a 2-0 lead to lose 3-2 at Chelmsford City on Saturday moves Wotton's side up to sixth in National League South.
They are six points off leaders Dorking Wanderers with a game in hand and five off second-placed Eastbourne Borough who have played two more matches.
"I think it's a great point," Wotton told BBC Radio Devon. "First half I thought we were a little bit passive, not quite at it, Weston were a little bit sharper onto it.
"But I thought we grew into it second half - the only difference in the second half to the first half was we started winning physical battles.
"We started winning battles in midfield, we start putting our bodies in, MJ (Matt Jay) started running about and putting his foot in and we scored and I'm glad we scored.
"We spoke before the game in depth for tonight, we had a 13-game season, Chelmsford's gone. Now we've got a 12-game season, let's go for it."
New signing Zanzala makes debut

Offrande Zanzala has made more than 150 appearances in the English Football League
Wotton brought on striker Offrande Zanzala 10 minutes into the second half after securing his signing from AFC Fylde earlier in the day.
The 28-year-old Congolese forward played 12 times for Fylde in after joining them in the summer.
He spent time on loan at Exeter City two years ago, helping Torquay's nearest neighbours win League Two and has also had spells at Barrow, Carlisle United, Newport County and Accrington Stanley.
"I've been trying to get him all season, and for whatever reason we couldn't and perseverance has paid off," Wotton said of his newest recruit.
"The biggest thing about him is he's ready and he wants to come in and do well. He wants to be here and he's got a point to prove so I like that."
