Guernsey FC's fight against relegation from Isthmian League South Central suffered a setback as they lost 1-0 at Hayes and Yeading United.
The hosts went ahead midway through the first when Jose Sani finished well as the hosts controlled the opening exchanges.
Simon Arnold hit the Hayes side netting with Guernsey's best chance after 31 minutes.
Sam Murray's clearance off the line five minutes into the second half kept Guernsey in it.
But they were unable to fashion an opening as they suffered a second successive away defeat and dropped back into the relegation places.
