Port Vale defender Jack Shorrock has signed a new contract which will keep him at Vale Park until 2028.
The 18-year-old academy graduate made 22 appearances last season, scoring twice, as the Valiants secured immediate promotion back to League One.
Shorrock, who signed his first professional deal in 2024, was named League Two Apprentice of the Season at the EFL Awards.
"It's a step forward that I think I've earned, but there's no need to get ahead of myself," he told the club website, external.
"I just need to keep doing what I'm doing, and try to help the team as much as I can. I love it here; it's a great club full of great people, so I enjoy myself every single day."
Vale boss Darren Moore added: "Jack is a fantastic young man and talented player, who we believe has a really bright future ahead of him.
"This new contract recognises all of his hard work, and we're really pleased to be continuing his development here at Vale Park."
