Norwich City have signed free agent Jeffrey Schlupp on a one-year deal.

The utility player, 32, was released by Crystal Palace in May after eight years with the south London club.

Schlupp had a loan spell at Celtic during the 2024-25 campaign and made 13 league appearances for the Scottish champions.

The Ghana international was part of the Leicester City squad that won the Premier League title in 2016.

"I'm really excited, it's something new again but a lot to look forward to back in the Championship at a big club," Schlupp told the club's website., external

"I've spoken to the head coach [Liam Manning] about the plan for this year and I am excited to be involved."

Schlupp becomes the club's eighth signing this summer and will provide cover for the left side of the defence but can also operate as a midfielder.

Norwich's sporting director Ben Knapper said: "He is a player of immense experience having played at the highest levels both domestically and internationally for many years.

"His quality, versatility and character will all be great assets for us, and he will serve as a fantastic reference point for our younger players in particular this season."

Norwich begin their 2025-26 Championship campaign at home to Millwall on Saturday, 9 August [15:00 BST].
