    Chelsea 1-0 London City Lionesses

Into the final 20 minutes at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea are raining efforts on Elene Lete's goal without extending their 1-0 lead but their pressure has been so relentless that I can't recall the last time London City had a decent spell of possession, let alone a look at Hannah Hampton's goal.

    Man City 1-0 West Ham

Speaking of giving the ball away... over to West Ham.

Amber Tysiak, stood deep in her own box, finds herself on the receiving end of a dreadful back pass and the ball ricochets off her body and into the path of Bunny Shaw.

Cue yet more scrambled defence from the Hammers.

  3. Postpublished at 13:26 GMT 1 November

    Chelsea 1-0 London City Lionesses

Chelsea really should be three or four goals up because London City Lionesses are giving away opportunities left, right, and centre.

Aggie Beever-Jones, turning in the box, is the latest player to fire wide.

  4. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 13:24 GMT 1 November

    Chelsea 1-0 London City Lionesses

A change for London City Lionesses.

Freya Godfrey is replaced by Sanni Franssi.

The pressure is becoming relentless. When London City do get the ball they can't seem to hold it longer than three seconds.

    Chelsea 1-0 London City Lionesses

Ohhhhh! That was a bullet header from Erin Cuthbert but it's just wide.

Ellie Carpenter had far too much time to deliver that cross from the right for Chelsea.

Agree with Keith at 13:02 - Chelsea sit back far too often on a slender lead. This is the difference between Bompastor and Hayes - Hayes' teams kept looking to score more and more. It will cost Chelsea sooner or later in a big game.

    James

Here's a fun stat for you, James...

Since the start of last season Chelsea have won more games to nil than any other team in the WSL (16), with Chelsea 1-0 also the most common scoreline in the competition in that same period (9 times).

  8. 'Expect better from Beever-Jones'published at 13:22 GMT 1 November

You have seen Aggie Beever-Jones score from that range this season. You can see she is leaning back and it flies over the bar. You expect better from Beever-Jones from that distance.

  9. Postpublished at 13:21 GMT 1 November

    Chelsea 1-0 London City Lionesses

Erin Cuthbert cedes control of the free-kick and possibly wishes she hadn't as Aggie Beever-Jones skies it.

    Missed opportunity for Chelsea.

  10. YELLOW CARDpublished at 13:20 GMT 1 November

    Chelsea 1-0 London City Lionesses

London City Lionesses defender Wassa Sangare is shown a yellow card for a foul on Aggie Beever-Jones.

Chelsea have a free-kick on the edge of the box with Beever-Jones and Erin Cuthbert standing over it.

  11. Postpublished at 13:19 GMT 1 November

    Man City 1-0 West Ham

For my own sake, I wish West Ham would stop trying to play out from the back. It's nerve-shredding!

Iman Beney, pressing hard, nearly cuts out a pass on the edge of the box.

  12. Postpublished at 13:18 GMT 1 November

    Man City 1-0 West Ham

Viviane Asseyi has been West Ham's main attacking threat and she's doing her defensive duty too.

Kerstin Casparij was marauding dangerously down the right flank but the forward covers a good 50 or 60 yards to get back and put the tackle in.

  13. 'An opportunity missed'published at 13:16 GMT 1 November

    Chelsea 1-0 London City Lionesses

Freya Godfrey does the hard work really well, but then she has too many touches. An opportunity missed there.

  14. Postpublished at 13:15 GMT 1 November

    Chelsea 1-0 London City Lionesses

The final ball lets London City Lionesses down again.

Freya Godfrey beats Millie Bright on the right wing and bursts into the box but her pass across the face of goal isn't anywhere near either Izzy Goodwin or Nikita Parris.

They are just not clinical enough.

  15. 'Francois will be a handful'published at 13:15 GMT 1 November

A good performance from both players coming off.

Jean-Francois will be a handful for this London City backline. That's another thing for the London City defence line to be thinking about.

The way Chelsea build pressure to only to turn around and pass backwards is infuriating!

  17. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 13:13 GMT 1 November

    Chelsea 1-0 London City Lionesses

    More changes for Chelsea.

Oriane Jean-Francois and Johanna Rytting Kaneryd come on for Sjoeke Nusken and Guro Reiten.

  18. Postpublished at 13:12 GMT 1 November

    Man City 1-0 West Ham

Lovely ball from Laura Blindkilde Brown to unleash Iman Beney on the right, but West Ham defender Anouk Denton gets across to put the ball out of play.

  19. Postpublished at 13:10 GMT 1 November

    Chelsea 1-0 London City Lionesses

Elena Linari and Wassa Sangare have been solid at the back for London City Lionesses. It always seems to be one of those two shovelling the ball behind for a corner.

Chelsea's latest corner - their sixth - yields nothing.

  20. 'Positive from Godfrey'published at 13:09 GMT 1 November

    Chelsea 1-0 London City Lionesses

    Jenna Schillaci
Former Spurs captain on Radio 5 Sports Extra

Positive from Freya Godfrey. She shifts it from her right onto her left foot and gets a shot away from range.
