This weekend BBC Sport’s FA Cup coverage heads to Yorkshire for the FA Cup Second Qualifying Round, as Pickering Town play host to Runcorn Linnets, coverage of which will be LIVE on BBC Sport this Saturday 13th September.

Based just a stone’s throw from the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, ninth tier Pickering who play in the Northern Counties East League Premier Division are the clear underdogs going into the clash, having never made it past the second qualifying round in the club’s history. They’ve already caused one upset though, beating Redcar Athletic 5-2 last time out.

Sitting a tier above in the football pyramid, Step four Runcorn of the Northern Premier League Division One West defeated manager Brad Cooke’s former side West Didsbury & Chorlton in the previous round and, are potentially just ninety minutes away from equalling their best run in the competition.

So, it’s not points at stake on Saturday, but the destination of the Third Qualifying Round. Will the full-time whistle signal the termination of Pickering’s cup journey, or can they derail their higher ranked opponents?
