    Mansfield 0-0 Wigan

Best chance of the game so far falls to Wigan as Fraser Murray whips in a curling free-kick from the left and it eludes everyone, with Will Aimson unmarked at the far post but unable to make contact with the ball.

Mind you, Aimson is yet to find the net in more than a half-century of games for the Latics and, in fairness, his primary job is keeping the ball out of the goal anyway.

  2. Postpublished at 12:51 BST 25 October

    Bolton 0-0 Cardiff

Jordi Osei-Tutu bursts between two defenders to get to the line for Bolton but Alex Robertson gets back to block the cross for a corner.

Up to the far post it goes, again towards Xavier Simons but he's fouling his marker anyway.

    It's very even.

  3. Postpublished at 12:48 BST 25 October

    Cheltenham 0-0 Walsall

No goals yet in this one.

Some good play by Walsall as Connor Barrett and Daniel Kanu link up well as Barrett drives down the channel before pulling the ball back to Kanu but his shot at goal is saved by Joe Day.

  4. Postpublished at 12:46 BST 25 October

    Mansfield 0-0 Wigan

Tyler Roberts has scored three goals in three games for Mansfield, so no surprise that he's playing with visible confidence.

The on-loan Birmingham player's been involved in most of the home side's attacks so far and he and Will Evans combine to set up a chance that just sticks under the feet of Rhys Oates as he tries to stab it goalwards.

Wigan under some pressure at the moment.

  5. Postpublished at 12:44 BST 25 October

    Bolton 0-0 Cardiff

Mason Burstow is enjoying his most prolific season as a pro with seven goals so far.

He lines-up number eight for Bolton but his effort from just inside the area is wide - his reaction tells you he feels he should have done better.

Deadlock broken in this Lancashire derby.

    Stanley lead.

  7. Postpublished at 12:42 BST 25 October

    Bolton 0-0 Cardiff

Max Conway is slipped in down the right of the Cardiff box but his cross, seeking out Mason Burstow, is cleared for a corner.

There are about 16 players in the six-yard box as the ball is delivered and Xavier Simons heads off target for Bolton.

  8. Postpublished at 12:41 BST 25 October

    Mansfield 0-0 Wigan

Better from Mansfield, with Rhys Oates winning a couple of corners and, while those come to nothing, the home side are starting to control possession.

Skipper Stephen McLaughlin takes a tumble on the left-hand side, but no question of a foul - he just lost his footing and the ball sailed by him for a throw-in. Let's assume there's still a bit of moisture in this surface.

  9. 'No real chances so far'published at 12:41 BST 25 October

When you come away from home the first 10 minutes is always key.

Don't do anything silly and don't give anything away.

There's been no real chances so far.

  10. Postpublished at 12:39 BST 25 October

    Bolton 0-0 Cardiff

Both sides have had early set-piece opportunities without troubling either goalkeeper.

We've got some lovely autumnal sunshine at The Toughsheet Stadium.

  11. Postpublished at 12:38 BST 25 October

    Fleetwood 0-0 Accrington

Fleetwood get an early corner and it's a low one from Harrison Neal. It finds the unmarked Will Davies who fires over bar.

  12. Postpublished at 12:34 BST 25 October

    Mansfield 0-0 Wigan

An early half-chance for Wigan's top scorer Fraser Murray, with the ball dropping to him after a bit of aerial tennis in the Mansfield penalty area.

Murray drags it wide on his left foot though and it remains scoreless.

Unsurprisingly, Accrington have kept faith with the side that romped to their biggest victory of the season against Swindon seven days ago.

There's only a single change among the substitutes, with striker Charlie Caton returning to claim a place on the bench.

Hosts Fleetwood also keep the same starting XI as last weekend, when they drew 1-1 at Chesterfield.

Fleetwood will be aiming to keep in touch with the play-off chasers and could move into those positions with a win ahead of the later kick-offs.

The Cod Army are unbeaten in their past four league games at home, winning the past two. They’ll be looking to win three in succession in the same season for the first time since 2023.

Accrington will be buoyed going into this game after their 4-0 hammering of League Two high-flyers Swindon last weekend with striker Paddy Madden scoring a hat-trick.

That victory ended a run of three defeats on the bounce for John Doolan’s side. A win in this lunchtime's Lancashire derby will see Stanley pick up their second win on the road.

  16. Robins unchanged; One change for Saddlerspublished at 12:22 BST 25 October

    Cheltenham v Walsall (12:30 BST)

Cheltenham boss Steve Cotterill names an unchanged side to that which beat Newport last week.

There's one change for Walsall as Jid Okeke starts in place of Vincent Harper.

Jamille Matt is named among the substitutes.

League Two leaders Walsall will want to bounce back after they lost to Barrow last weekend, ending an eight-game unbeaten run.

Mat Sadler's side, who are a point clear of second-placed Swindon, are in decent shape on the road having won three of their past five away league games.

Cheltenham go into this on the back of a big win last time out when they beat fellow strugglers Newport. That saw them climb out of the relegation zone with boss Steve Cotterill remaining undefeated in his first three games back in charge.

The Robins will be looking to win successive league games for just the third time since the start of last season in the fourth tier.

Leaders Walsall will want a bit of breathing space between themselves and Swindon after the Saddlers' early kick-off against Cheltenham. They can achieve that with a win ahead of Swindon's game against Colchester at 15:00 BST.

MK Dons will hope the top two falter as they could end up top of the tree if they win at Bromley.

Things can all change today in a congested play-off pack as Gillingham host Salford and Notts County face Cambridge United.

The bottom two clubs, Crawley and Newport will be searching for points to steer away from the danger zone when they play Bristol Rovers and Harrogate respectively.

The only change to either starting line-up is an enforced one, with Wigan’s Dara Costelloe serving a suspension in the wake of his red card against Port Vale last weekend.

Jensen Weir replaces Costelloe in the Latics line-up at Field Mill, while James Carragher takes the midfielder’s place on the bench.

Home boss Nigel Clough keeps faith with exactly the same personnel – both the starting XI and substitutes – who triumphed 2-0 at Luton a week ago.

Away days. They’re a challenge many football fans anticipate with eagerness, even if it means early starts, lengthy hours on the road – and often little reward for their team on the pitch.

That’s certainly been the case for Wigan Athletic’s faithful band of travelling followers for some time now – they’ve yet to witness an away win this season and, in fact, only one since January.

Despite that, the Latics should reach Field Mill in fair spirits, having ended a poor run of three defeats in four games by winning at home to Port Vale last weekend and playing with 10 men for the entire second half.

Recent history also favours Ryan Lowe’s side, who have won four of their past six meetings with Mansfield and would leapfrog their hosts in the table if they pick up three points today.

With that said, the Stags are in good form – they have taken seven points from a possible nine and have lost only once on home turf this season, when Doncaster overturned a deficit late on to triumph 2-1.
