The Women’s National League Cup final takes place on Saturday 22nd March and BBC Sport will have live coverage as Nottingham Forest take on Stoke City at Walsall’s Bescot Stadium.

Nottingham Forest have reached the final for the second time in three seasons after a hard fought win over holders Hashtag United in the semi-final.

Meanwhile Stoke reached the final in emphatic fashion by beating Plymouth Argyle 3-0.

Stoke had previously reached the final in 2020 but the start of the pandemic prevented that match ever taking place, meaning this will be the first time Stoke have had chance to compete in the final.

Nottingham Forest currently sit top of the Northern section of the FA Women’s National League, whilst Stoke sit in third. Forest are currently unbeaten in the league this season, only dropping points three times.

Stoke sit only two points behind Forest in the table and a run of 18 wins out of 20 matches has kept them right in the hunt for the title.
