A big Chelsea milestone for Millie Bright today as she makes her 300th appearance for the Blues.

She is the club's longest serving player, having joined the club from Doncaster Belles in 2014.

This will be Leicester's first game with Rick Passmoor as their permanent head coach.

He took charge in early September after the Foxes sacked Amandine Miquel shortly before the start of the season.

While interim boss he guided them to four points from their first five WSL matches

"We are completely changing the philosophy, it will take time," said Passmoor, whose contract is set to run until 2028.

"We are against teams who have had the same managers for two or three years.

"We want to be comfortable in possession, relaxed and composed to create opportunities."

Leicester City will be hoping today is the day their winless run away from home in the WSL comes tom an end.

The Foxes are winless in each of their last 18 WSL away games (five draws and 13 defeats), a run that started in February 2024.

Four different managers have taken charge of the team in that time.

Should Rick Passmoor's side win at Villa Park today, then it would be the longest gap between two away wins by a team that weren’t relegated in between (623 days).

Sonia Bompastor's side are winless in their last two matches.

In Chelsea terms, that's a bad run of form.

They drew against Manchester United last weekend, while they dropped points against Twente in their Champions League opener on Wednesday.

Former England forward Lianne Sanderson said their performance against the Dutch side was "disjointed" and Bompastor "took Twente lightly".

October might not be going so well for Chelsea, but September was a fruitful month.

The club won both the player and manager of the month awards.

Chelsea's Aggie Beever-Jones is the WSL player of the month after scoring in all four of their games, opening the scoring in wins against Manchester City, Aston Villa, Leicester City and West Ham United.

Sonia Bompastor, meanwhile, beat Tottenham Hotspur's Martin Ho, Manchester City's Andree Jeglertz and Manchester United's Marc Skinner to the manager's prize.

Born in Amsterdam with a hole in her heart and a leg that grew to be six centimetres longer than the other, Katja Snoeijs did not live an ordinary childhood.

Snoeijs, now a striker with Women's Super League side Everton, underwent major heart surgery when she was three years old and had an operation at the age of 12 on her longer left leg.

She previously had little option but to wear special shoes, designed for her by a podiatrist, which gave her right leg a bigger platform.

This gave way to a "shoe obsession" once Snoeijs' surgery produced positive results and she was able to buy high-street footwear.

Doctors never found out why her left leg grew quicker than the other, despite Snoeijs having lots of medical checks.

Why are Everton playing at the Hill Dickinson Stadium?

Now they've moved to Goodison Park there might be no need but there's a suggestion that it remains a requirement from WSL Football.

All clubs in the WSL have previously been asked to attempt to host one game at their 'main, larger stadium' to help increase fans.

It has worked well in previous years with Old Trafford, Stamford Bridge and Anfield among others to host flagship matches.

We're waiting on confirmation that it is still a requirement but if not, it's still viewed as an opportunity to get regular men's football fans into the stadium to watch the women this weekend.

Only the lower-tier stands have been opened but over 17,000 tickets were sold by the end of the week so it should be a good crowd.

They have rolled out the infamous "Toffee Doughnut" for the game and there's flags put up with the women's faces on in the South Stand.

Natalia Arroyo makes one change to her Aston Villa side after a 2-0 win against West Ham last weekend, with defender Sarah Mayling coming in for forward Kirsty Hanson.

Everton's brand-new Hill Dickinson stadium is "incredible," said Manchester United boss Marc Skinner in his pre-match news conference.

Everton's women now play in Goodison Park, the historic previous men's ground, but are making the most of the Premier League's international break and host United at the club's new ground today.

"If I rewind to three or four years ago when we started to play those kinds of games, it felt a little bit too big," Skinner said of playing at the 53,000-capacity stadium. "The experience of that and playing at Wembley has settled us into understanding it is just a pitch in a nice stadium."

"Hopefully it will have a galvanising effect on us. I am sure it will for Everton because it looks like an incredible stadium."

"We are looking forward to it and gracing it with the quality it deserves."

Everton were held to 1-1 draw last time out, with Noemi Mouchon netting an 81st-minute equaliser for Leicester.

Toffees boss Brian Sorensen says he was "disappointed" but the performance of the young team is positive for the future.

“I was disappointed straight after in terms of the chances that we created," he said in his pre-match news conference. "We also had eight players out. I was happy with the performance overall. We let them have one shot on goal, unfortunately that went in.

“We are still working on details of the game. We have started the youngest XI in the league. We play with good, young talents and it is about learning every day. I am positive about the future. The future looks bright.”

Sorensen added that he is "excited" for the bumper crowd at Hill Dickinson Stadium today.

“We are going to go in and enjoy it in a big stadium,” added Sorensen. “From what I hear, it is a big crowd. We are all excited for it!

“I think it is going to be a very good atmosphere. We are going to go out there and put everything on the line.

Lucy Bronze is back.

The Chelsea defender returns to the squad and is on the bench for the first time since she played in July's Euros final when the Lionesses defended their title.

After the final, Bronze revealed she had played the entire tournament with a fractured leg.
