Anfield has not been a happy hunting ground for Liverpool.

They’ve lost six of their seven WSL matches at the ground, with the exception of a 3-1 win against Man United in March 2025.

This is the second of three league matches Liverpool are slated to play at Anfield this season, with the ground also due to host their final game against Arsenal in May.

Liverpool and Manchester City find themselves at polar opposite ends of the form table.

City have won four consecutive games since an opening day defeat to Chelsea, while Liverpool have lost all four of their WSL games this term.

Andree Jeglertz's City have scored 15 goals - with nine different scorers - while Gareth Taylor's Liverpool have netted just once.

City have won 15 of their last 17 meetings with Liverpool across all competitions, including each of their last five in a row, netting four or more goals in four of those victories.

When you are coming off the back of results Arsenal have had, they just need to get those three points. That's what they will be taking away from this game.

The substitutes came on and made an impact today as well. It's just an important result for Renee Slegers and Arsenal.

Not the best week for Brighton. Three defeats in the space of seven days.

Brighton have been strong today. They've been disciplined. They will feel frustrated that the only goal they conceded came from an own goal. They couldn't have done much about it.

But they can take a lot of positives from this game. They will hope that they can pick up points when they come up against teams in and around them.

Not the most convincing win for Arsenal, but it ends a winless run of four so they'll take it.

Chiamaka Nnadozie has had a few nervy moments today and that one tops the list.

She comes out of her box to meet the ball, but this time she mistimes her challenge and Stina Blackstenius gets there first.

Brighton loft the free-kick into Arsenal's box and Daphne van Domselaar takes command, coming out to clear with a punch.

She's wiped out in the process and goes down for a minute. But she's alright and fit to carry on.

Chloe Kelly goes in the book for a a body check on Charlie Rule, who falls to the floor clutching her knee. The Australian is fine to continue.

Daphne van Domselaar has had a really good game.

She came into this game on the back of the Lyon result. Probably, all eyes would have been on her and she needed a big reaction today. She has done really well. She has made important claims and saves. She has looked really solid.

That would have been game over. Kim Little lifts her head, sees Stina Blackstenius making a run and threads the ball into Brighton's box.

The Sweden striker takes it first time and sends it just wide of the back post.

Kiko Seike plays a looping cross into the box and Daphne van Domselaar leaps up to collect. The Arsenal keeper has had a decent game today.

Just under half of the total capacity of Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal have been dominant in this second half, but Brighton have still had more shots on target than the Gunners.
