I understand playing the youth academy, but bring some form of firepower with you. No chance of getting back into this game. Arne Slot's got the bench wrong.

I’m a Liverpool fan and I can’t believe the rubbish I’m reading. You don’t deserve to enjoy the good times we have if you’re turning on the manager this quickly.

Very comfortable and very organised from Crystal Palace. They have grown into the game. Oliver Glasner fixed it quickly and they then started to dominate possession.

  14. Will Slot turn to his young bench?published at 20:44 GMT 29 October

    HT: Liverpool 0-2 Crystal Palace

    Michael Emons
    BBC Sport at Anfield

With Arne Slot watching on from the edge of his technical area getting soaked in the Anfield rain, he will need to do something special to turn this around and may be regretting his team selection.

But with two 18-year-olds, three 19-year-olds, two 20-year-olds and two 21-year-olds on the bench, some youngsters will have to take their chance and make a name for themselves to save this match.

One bright spot for Liverpool has been the skill, trickery and direct dribbling ability of Rio Ngumoha, the 17-year-old who is getting the home crowd on their feet every time he gets the ball.

It was only a matter of time before Palace worked out Liverpool's system. They have bright players and a bright manager. No way back for the Reds and now the kids might get a hiding! Which equals no positives whatsoever - baffling.

  17. 'Here we go again'published at 20:43 GMT 29 October

    HT: Liverpool 0-2 Crystal Palace

    Stephen Warnock
Former Liverpool defender on BBC Radio 5 Live at Anfield

If you're a Liverpool fan, the fans will be thinking 'it is our young team', some fans will think 'here we go again'.

It is difficult to read into. One thing I will say is Crystal Palace are a good team, very well coached and they are managed by Oliver Glasner.

  18. 'Awkward one for Barnes'published at 20:43 GMT 29 October

    Newcastle 1-0 Tottenham

    Alan Smith
Former Arsenal forward on Sky Sports

Talk about let-off the hook for Spurs. It's a fairly awkward one for Barnes. He'll feel he should've buried it.

  19. CLOSE!published at 20:42 GMT 29 October

    Newcastle 1-0 Tottenham

Sandro Tonali dinks a lovely ball to Malick Thiaw and he finds Harvey Barnes just yards from goal. Barnes goes for the acrobatic one and smashes over the top.

    Should be 2-0.

I really cannot understanding Slot’s thinking. An opportunity for a trophy (considering the league is gone) on a four game losing run in the league and he plays the kids. Mind boggling. He has to go surely, way out of depth.

    Ben, Dorset

Maybe people will start to accept that Slot is genuinely out of his depth. The players don’t know what their role is when they have the ball and are clueless what to do when out of possession. He has to go. Quickly.
