Norris' McLaren team-mate Oscar Piastri went on to win in Zandvoort, meaning he has a 34-point lead in the drivers' championship.
In the constructors' standings, leaders McLaren are ahead of Ferrari by 324 points, while Mercedes in third are only 12 points behind the Italian team in the race for second.
