Loughiel Shamrocks missed out on reaching a second successive All-Ireland Senior Club Camogie Championship final as they were beaten in Saturday's semi-final by Dicksboro.

The Antrim and Ulster champions were on course for another decider at half-time having built a 1-8 to 0-6 lead.

However, the Kilkenny club came back in the second half at Ashbourne in county Meath to reach their first showpiece.

Asha McHardy scored both of Dicksboro's goals.

McHardy's 2-1 and seven points from Aoife Prendergast propelled Dicksboro to their first All-Ireland final and left Loughgiel to reflect on more disappointment on the national stage.

While Dicksboro led 0-3 to 0-1 early on, Antrim's Caitrin Dobbin swung the game in Loughgiel's favour with a finely taken goal inside five minutes.

Prendergast, who captained Kilkenny to the All-Ireland title in 2022, soon levelled for Dicksboro before two Roisin McCormick scores and a point from Dobbin put the Shamrocks - who lost last year's All-Ireland final to Galway club Sarsfields - back in the ascendancy.

First-time Leinster champions Dicksboro flew out of the traps at the start of the second half, however, with McHardy's quickfire 1-1 and another Prendergast effort restoring parity.

Prendergast then failed to find the back of the net with a penalty, firing over the bar for a point, and raised another white flag to stretch Dicksboro's lead to two.

McHardy's second goal and a late Amy Clifford score sealed the win for the Kilkenny side, who will face three-in-a-row chasing Sarsfields in the 17 December final at Croke Park.
