2024 GAA fixtures: Mickey Harte's Derry start Football League with trip to Kerry

Mickey Harte's Derry will begin their Allianz League campaign with a repeat of the county's All-Ireland semi-final this year as they travel to face Kerry.

Saturday 27 January will also have a second All-Ireland semi-final rematch as champions Dublin host Monaghan.

Tyrone start a day later at home to Roscommon with Jim McGuinness' return to league action seeing Donegal host Cork in their Division Two opener.

Armagh v Louth on 27 January begins the BBC iPlayer Allianz Leagues coverage.

Fermanagh travel to Meath on the same day when Cavan, the other of the four Ulster counties in Division Two, also away to Kildare.

In Division Three, Antrim have a trip to Limerick in their opener on 28 January with Down also on the road on the same afternoon as they take on Wicklow.

Antrim hurlers' league campaign opens up on 4 February with a daunting trip to face Limerick, who clinched their fourth successive All-Ireland title in July.

Mickey Harte's much-awaited first League outing as Derry manager against his native Tyrone will be in round two at Celtic Park on 4 February with Monaghan hosting Kerry on the same afternoon in Clones.

In addition to the Armagh v Louth Division Two derby, seven further league games in football and hurling will be broadcast on the BBC iPlayer.

The round two iPlayer broadcast will see Fermanagh at home to Kildare in Division Two on 3 February with the Division Two A hurling contest between Down and Kerry following a week later.

Donegal will be featured in the next two BBC iPlayer games as they host Fermanagh in Letterkenny on 17 February before travelling to the Athletic Grounds eight days later to take on Kieran McGeeney's Armagh in the battle of this year's relegated sides.

The iPlayer action continues with Fermanagh footballers hosting Armagh on 2 March before the focus switches to hurling two weeks later as Antrim play Tipperary in Division One at Corrigan Park with the BBC's live coverage of the final round of Football League action on the weekend of 23/24 March still to be confirmed.

In addition to the mouth-watering Division One contest between Harte's Derry and his native Tyrone on 4 February, the round-two action will include the Division Two meeting between Cavan and Donegal at Breffni Park plus League champions Mayo welcoming Dublin to Castlebar.

The following weekend is entirely devoted to hurling which includes Darren Gleeson's Antrim welcoming Dublin to Corrigan Park before the Football League resumes on 17 February as Derry host Monaghan on Celtic Park in a Saturday evening fixture, with Tyrone at home to Galway the following day.

A week later, Tyrone face Mayo at Healy Park in a repeat of the 2021 All-Ireland Final, while the same evening sees Dublin hosting Kerry in a rematch of this year's Sam Maguire Cup decider.

There is no let-up in the Division One match-ups in round five with Derry facing Dublin at Celtic Park on 2 March before Kerry take on Tyrone in Killarney a day later, when Monaghan also welcome Galway to Clones.

The round-six Division One contests include Tyrone's derby with Monaghan at Omagh on 16 March with the all-important last series of round-robin fixtures on 24 March seeing Derry at home to Roscommon, Dublin hosting Tyrone, Monaghan up against Mayo and Kerry taking on Galway.

Seven Ulster SFC games live on BBC

The Football League divisional finals take place the following weekend, with once again only a week's gap to the start of the championship as Monaghan face Cavan in the Ulster preliminary round on Sunday, 7 April which will be the first of seven out of the eight games in the northern province live on BBC Northern Ireland and the iPlayer.

All four Ulster SFC quarter-finals will be broadcast by the BBC including the huge clash between Derry and Donegal on 20 April, which will see Mickey Harte and Jim McGuinness in opposition after a 10-year gap.

A week earlier, Down face Antrim in the opening Ulster SFC quarter-final with Fermanagh taking on Armagh on the same weekend while the concluding last-eight game in Ulster on Sunday 21 April has Tyrone taking on the winners of the Monaghan v Cavan preliminary-round contest.

BBC will also have live coverage of the semi-final which features either Derry, Donegal, Tyrone, Monaghan or Cavan in addition to broadcasting the provincial decider on Sunday 12 May.

The All-Ireland Football Championship will begin the following weekend with the All-Ireland preliminary quarter-finals scheduled for 22/23 June before the quarter-finals take place a week later.

The All-Ireland Football semi-finals will be played on 13/14 July with the All-Ireland Hurling Final on 21 July before the inter-county championship concludes with the Football decider on 28 July.

Antrim hurlers' Leinster Championship campaign with begin with a trip to Kilkenny on 21 April before further games against Wexford [home 27 April], Dublin [away 11 May], Galway [home 19 May] and Carlow [26 May] with the top two teams in the round-robin series playing in the provincial final on 8 June.
