Armagh have won all four of their Division One games this season

Armagh moved top of Division One in the Ladies National Football League with a convincing win over Meath at Ashbourne on Sunday.

Aimee Mackin and Kelly Mallon struck 1-4 apiece for Armagh, who maintained their 100% top-flight record in 2024.

It was a first loss of the season for Meath, who are managed by former Armagh boss Shane McCormack.

In Division Two, Monaghan picked up their first point of the season with a 2-10 to 1-13 draw with Donegal.

Also in the second tier, Tyrone lost their winning start as they were held to a 2-8 to 2-8 draw by Laois.

In Division Three, Down beat Antrim 3-12 to 1-11, while in Division Four there were mixed fortunes for Derry and Fermanagh against Longford and Kilkenny.

At Ashbourne, Armagh stalwart Caroline O'Hanlon got the Ulster side up and running before Mackin registered her first score.

After O'Hanlon and Mackin doubled their tallies, and while 2021 and 2022 All-Ireland champions Meath clawed their way back into it, Armagh led 0-7 to 0-5 at the break.

Seven minutes after the restart, Mackin raised Armagh's first green flag and the 2020 players' player of the year turned provider for Mallon, whose goal put the result beyond doubt.
