Allianz Football League game of the weekend from an Ulster perspective looks to be Sunday's Division Two game between Armagh and Donegal which is live on the BBC iPlayer and website.
The sides occupy the promotion spots after three opening wins with Armagh just ahead on points difference.
Saturday sees Tyrone needing a Division One home win over Mayo while Division Three table-toppers Down host Offaly.
Sunday's games involving Ulster sides include Derry travelling to Galway.
Mickey Harte's Oak Leafers are the only side on maximum points in Division One but they will be facing a Tribesmen side that earned a morale-boosting one-point win in Omagh last weekend.
After their dramatic opening win at Croke Park, Monaghan look to be back in another battle to avoid relegation following fairly emphatic defeats by Kerry and Derry.
Vinny Corey's side travel to face a Roscommon side who are propping up the table on one point so the contest at Dr Hyde Park will be of vital importance to both sides' hopes of staying in the Division, with tough games to follow.
Heading into their home game with League champions Mayo on Saturday, Tyrone are in a similar predicament to Monaghan after following an opening home win over Roscommon with reverses against Derry and Galway.
But following so many departures from the squad, Brian Dooher, currently in sole charge of the Red Hands because of Feargal Logan's health issue, has little option but to persevere with the young players have been introduced to the squad in the hope results will come.
Mayo started their campaign with impressive wins over Galway and Dublin before being edged out by Kerry last weekend.
In addition to the Ulster derby, Sunday's Division Two action also sees Fermanagh and Cavan involved in crucial games.
Fermanagh's promising start to Division Two came to a shuddering halt last weekend when Donegal took them apart in the second half at Letterkenny.
And while that reverse still left the Ernemen in a comparatively safe-looking fourth place in the table, they will face a Cork side surely fighting for their lives after three opening defeats.
John Cleary's Rebels will know that they will move to within a point of Fermanagh if they can take the points in Ederney but alternatively, a home win will leave Cork probably having to win all their three remaining games to avoid dropping to Division Three, with the attendant likelihood of being forced into the Tailteann Cup this summer.
The Division Two table has Cavan as the nearest challengers to Armagh and Donegal, which does look the reality given that the Breffnimen only lost by a single point to Jim McGuinness' side at Kingspan Breffni three weeks ago.
Cavan followed that with a one-point win at Pairc Ui Chaoimh but they will need to produce another decent away display to overcome a Louth side that beat Cork in round two in between narrow defeats by Armagh and Meath.
But there's no getting away from the fact that the big game in Division Two will be the latest renewal between Kieran McGeeney and Jim McGuinness at the Athletic Grounds.
The counties were drawn in the same Dr McKenna Cup group but McGeeney opted to keep his powder dry on 3 January by selecting an under-20 team.
Both sides have mixed superb displays with more functional efforts so far in the league.
Armagh were a tad fortunate to beat Louth 0-12 to 0-11 in their opener but followed that with thumping wins over Meath and Kildare.
The Orchard men's display against the Lilywhites at Netwatch Cullen Park last weekend was particularly impressive as they had the game won within 15 minutes.
Donegal, meanwhile, racked up an impressive 1-20 in their opening win over Cork and while they struggled to subdue Cavan and laboured somewhat in the first half in Letterkenny last weekend, they proceeded to blow away Fermanagh by hitting 2-7 without reply in the second period.
McGuinness does seem to have plenty of options at the moment with, for example, Jeaic McKelvey and Aaron Doherty both firing two points from play after coming off the bench last weekend.
Daire O Baoill generated most of the headlines for Donegal in Letterkenny with his David Beckham-like goal but Michael Langan's return after injury was also encouraging for the Tir Chonaill men.
Ciaran Thompson had to come off because of injury last weekend but is expected to be available for Sunday's game.
Conor Turbitt was Armagh's man of the match in Carlow as he hit 1-5 in an all-action display, with the impressive Oisin Conaty contributing 0-4.
The Athletic Grounds game has all the makings of an exciting contest providing both sides don't go into their shells and cancel each other out.
In Division Three, leaders Down will be expected to account on Saturday evening for an Offaly side that have lost their opening three games, but yet are still outside the relegation places on points difference with Oisin McConville's Wicklow and Limerick occupying seventh and eighth spots.
After two opening wins, Antrim suddenly dropped to fifth spot after losing at home against Down a week ago and the Saffrons will need to beat Sligo at Markievicz Park on Sunday to rekindle their promotion prospects.
