Ladies National Football League: Fermanagh through to Division Four semi-finals after victory against Limerick

Fermanagh are through to the National League Division Four semi-finals after their 0-9 to 0-4 win against Limerick on Sunday.

Eimear Smyth hit seven points as the Erne County topped the table with five wins from six games.

They held a two-point lead at the break and scored all the points in the second half to seal the victory.

Elsewhere, Derry recorded their first win of the season with 3-16 to 1-4 victory against Kilkenny.

Fermanagh held a 0-6 to 0-4 advantage at the interval at Mick Neville Park and added three further points in the second half through Smyth and Blathín Bogue as they sailed into the semi-finals with a game to spare.

In St Martins, Derry emerged victorious against battling bottom side Kilkenny, with Emma Doherty shining for the hosts, hitting 1-8, while Dara McKeever and Erin Doherty also found the net.

Leitrim got the better of Carlow with a 2-15 to 1-9 win on their travels to join Fermanagh in the last four on Sunday March 24, whilst Wicklow beat Longford.
