Caberfeidh edged Kinlochshiel at Strathpeffer in the MacTavish Cup tie which was abandoned two weeks previously when referee Steven MacLachlan took ill and was revived by players using a defibrillator.

A 3-2 home win over Lochaber lifted Skye into second place in the Mowi Premiership, behind champions Kingussie who had a 2-0 home win over Kyles. Newtonmore are now third following their 2-0 defeat of Glenurquhart at The Eilan.

National Division leaders Beauly swept Oban Celtic aside 6-1 while Fort William retained second place with a 4-0 home win over local rivals Kilmallie.

Craig Morrison opened early for Caberfeidh and it was into the second half before Keith MacRae equalised. Gavin McLaughlan's winner came with 10 minutes remaining.

Skye went three up with a Ross Gordon double which included a penalty, split by a goal from Dan MacDonald, but Stuart Callison pulled one back just before half time. Max Campbell's second for Lochaber then produced a tense final half hour.

Ruaridh Anderson in the first half and Eoin Baikie in the second maintained Kingussie's 100% record, and their two point lead.

At The Eilan, Drew MacDonald and Cameron MacNiven, both in the first half, continued Newtonmore's rise up the table after a slow start. Glen still seek their first point.

Jack MacDonald and Finlay MacLennan both got hat tricks for Beauly and Ewan Campbell's consolation for Celtic came at 5-0.

At An Aird, a blank first quarter gave way to a goal rush when Lewis Clark and a Graham Campbell double put Fort 3-0 up within just three minutes. Cam Stephen added another in the second half

Beauly now lead Fort in the second tier on goal difference, with both sides on full points.
