Hockey World League 2017: England draw 3-3 with Argentina

England are top of Pool A, ahead of Argentina on goal difference

England drew 3-3 with Argentina at the Hockey World League semi-finals in London, despite having taken a 3-0 lead.

After goals from Mark Gleghorne, Sam Ward and Barry Middleton, Argentina scored three times in four third-quarter minutes.

In the final quarter, George Pinner made an excellent save from a penalty stroke to keep the tie level.

The result saw both teams seal a quarter-final place.

After three games, England are top of Pool A, above Argentina on goal difference.

They next play South Korea on Tuesday, while Argentina play China on Monday.

Earlier on Sunday, in Scotland's group, India hammered Pakistan 7-1.

Scotland, level on points with Pakistan with zero from their two games, play Pakistan next on Monday.
