Gareth Furlong's goal proved enough for Wales to beat Scotland 1-0 in a EuroHockey Championship qualifier in Glasgow.
Furlong struck in the second quarter in what was a tight game and in which Toby Reynolds-Cotterill made some crucial saves.
It was Wales' second win of the qualifiers after a resounding 8-0 win over Switzerland on Wednesday.
Wales' final game is against Gibraltar on Saturday.
The group winners will qualify for the 2023 Euro Hockey Championship in Germany.
Furlong scored four goals and Rupert Shipperley hit a hat-trick as Wales thrashed Switzerland the previous day.
Furlong's goals included two in the space of a minute in Glasgow.
Jolyon Morgan was also on the scoresheet as Wales made the perfect start in their qualifying group.
