Ireland sealed a series win over Wales with a 3-0 victory in Sunday's third Test.

Wales had won the opening game 2-0 but Ireland came roaring back with a 5-2 result to tie the series on Saturday.

Two goals from Ben Walker and another from Luke Madeley proved enough for Ireland as they again dominated their visitors.

The series at Lisnagarvey Hockey Club was part of Wales' preparations for the EuroHockey Championship I in July.

Wales head coach Danny Newcombe:

"It was a pretty frustrating result again and mainly due to the pretty positive performance from the boys today. We played well but simply didn't execute and made some naive decisions which cost us.

"The whole purpose of this Test series was to clarify the bits we need to get better at moving forward and I think we certainly did that."

Wales co-captain Luke Hawker:

"I think the boys will quite naturally be disappointed with today's result. I don't think the score line reflects the performance we put in. But certainly some errors and areas to sharpen up on as we move into our next challenge."
