Wales men came from a goal down to beat hosts Malaysia 2-1 in their final game of the FIH Nations Cup to finish fifth.

Syed Cholan opened the scoring for Malaysia in the second quarter, but Rhys Bradshaw levelled things in the third at the National Hockey Stadium in Kuala Lumpur.

A tight contest was decided late in the game when Gareth Furlong hit the winner for Wales, the score like Bradshaw's earlier effort coming from a penalty corner.

It was the second successive game in which Wales had fought back to win, having come from 3-2 down against Japan to win 6-4 last time out.

Wales will now prepare for their European Championships in Portugal in July, where the side will be looking to secure promotion to the A division of competition.
