England's men's and women's hockey teams secured victory on the final day of the London leg of the Pro League.

An impressive 2-1 victory over second-placed Australia provided a happy ending to a disappointing week for England's men, who look set for a mid-table finish.

A strong second-half performance from the women earned them a 4-1 win over Spain, lifting themselves off the bottom of the table - above India and Germany.

Having lost their first game against Australia on Saturday, a brace from Jack Waller was enough for the men to edge past their opponents.

They headed into the weekend off the back of two defeats against the Netherlands.

Meanwhile, second-half goals from Maddie Axford, Georgie Gardens and Izzy Petter helped England women secure victory over Spain.

Candela Mejias' goal in the final quarter gave Spain a narrow victory in their first match on Saturday against England's women, who traded wins with Australia earlier in the week.

The final round of fixtures take place next weekend - the men travel to Belgium for a double-header, with the women in Germany for their final two games.
