Cardiff Devils battle back to beat Belfast Giants 4-3

Darryl Lloyd opened the scoring for the Belfast Giants against the Cardiff Devils

The Belfast Giants suffered an overtime defeat to the Cardiff Devils despite leading 3-0 going into the last period.

Darryl Lloyd and Craig Peacock scored in the first period and Adam Keefe got the only goal of the second.

Cardiff hit back with three goals in the final period from Paul Bissonnette, Josh Batch and Mac Faulkner.

The Giants had to start the overtime session a man down as Jeff Mason was serving a penalty for slashing and Faulkner grabbed Cardiff's win on 1:38.

On Saturday night, the Giants saw off some late pressure to beat Hull Stingrays 3-2.

All the Belfast goals came in the second period with Craig Peacock, Robbie Sandrock and Noah Clarke finding the net for the visitors.

Jereme Tendler and Jason Silverthorn netted for Hull.

Belfast are away again on Friday night when they face Dundee Stars in a combined league and cup fixture.
