Belfast Giants have signed forward Darryl Lloyd and defenceman Jeff Mason for another season.

The 2012/13 campaign will be Lloyd's third with the Odyssey team while Mason rejoined the Giants last season after playing in Norway.

The Giants are continuing the search for a new coach after the shock departure of Doug Christiansen.

The club said on Wednesday that they hope to have a new coach in place in the next 10 days.

Christiansen, who spent three years with the Giants, has taken over as coach with the Sheffield Steelers.

Lloyd was selected as Forward of The Year and MVP by Giants fans this season after tallying 17 goals and 33 points.

Mason returned to the Odyssey last October and in 38 games he scored six goals and added 16 assists while logging some of the most minutes in the league on the blueline.
