Great Britain players attempt to stop Dmitry Upper of Kazakhstan

Great Britain went down to a heavy 5-0 loss to Kazakhstan in their World Championship Division 1 Group A campaign in Hungary.

Two goals inside 19 seconds from Konstantin Romanov (17:42) and Ilya Solarev (18:01) were added to by Roman Savchenko, Vadim Krasnoslobodtsev and Yevgeni Blokhin.

It was Britain's second defeat having lost 4-2 to Hungary on Sunday.

Forward David Longstaff said: "We did not deserve to lose in the way we did."

Britain next take on Italy on Wednesday before facing Japan on Friday and Korea on Saturday.
