The Belfast Giants will face German and Dutch teams when they play in the Continental Cup in October.

The Northern Ireland side are playing in the European tournament for a second time in three years having qualified by winning the Elite League.

Their Group B opponents will be hosts Fischtown Pinguins Bremerhaven, Tilburg Trappers of the Netherlands plus the winners of September's Group A .

The games will be staged from 17-19 October.

If the Giants win Group B, they will advance to the semi-finals in Ritten, Italy, in November.

The teams participating in Group A on 26-28 September are CSKA Sofia (Bulgaria), CG Puigcerda (Spain), Beostar Belgrade (Serbia) and Izmir BJBSK (Turkey.
