Chris Blight's backhand shot after Craig Peacock's pass put Britain ahead and it was 3-1 when when Peacock stole the puck and fired past Martijn Oosterwijk.

Levi Houkes scored on the rebound in the final period for Netherlands but Britain held on to secure the victory.

Russell's side face-off against Lithuania at 16:00 BST on Sunday.
