Cardiff Devils completed their Elite League pre-season with a 100% record after two wins over Manchester Storm.

Having beaten Nottingham Panthers home and away, Jarrod Skalde's side repeated the same feat against Storm to finish pre-season with four wins from four.

The Devils ran out 8-1 winners at home on Saturday before a 4-3 overtime win in Manchester on Sunday evening.

Brodie Reid scored two goals and three assists in the home game, with Stephen Dixon also scoring twice.

Matt Register, Brandon McNally, Cole Sanford and Josh Waller were also on target at Ice Arena Wales.

Sanford and Justin Crandall put the Devils two up in Manchester on Sunday before the home side drew level.

Trevor Cox put the visitors ahead again, but after another Storm leveller it took a Reid goal 15 seconds into overtime to settle the game.

Guildford Flames travel to south Wales in the Challenge Cup on Saturday, 25 September, as Devils return to competitive action.

They play their first league fixture 24 hours later away to Sheffield Steelers.
