Cardiff Devils suffered their second loss of the weekend after slumping to a 3-1 Elite League defeat at Fife Flyers.

Despite 17 shots on goal in Sunday's opening period, Devils trailed to Michael McNicolas' strike.

Justin Crandall levelled for Devils but Flyers hit back immediately through Carson Stadnyk, with a Matthew Carter goal sealing it in the dying moments.

On Saturday Coventry Blaze won 2-1 at Devils in the Challenge Cup thanks to Janne Kivilahti's two goals.

Trevor Cox pulled a goal back for Devils, who had at least already guaranteed a quarter-final spot.
