Elite League: Cardiff Devils 5-1 Glasgow Clan

Cardiff Devils maintained their Elite League title challenge with a 5-1 win over Glasgow Clan at Ice Arena Wales.

Cole Sandford, Riley Brand and Joey Martin gave Devils a 3-0 lead in the opening period before Steven McParland pulled a goal back.

Josh Brittain and Trevor Cox sealed victory for Devils in the final period.

The win put third placed Devils three points behind league leaders Belfast Giants, with both sides having played 42 games.

Cardiff host second placed Guildford Flames on Sunday, 26 February.

Meanwhile Devils, who first travel to Nottingham Panthers on Saturday, have signed Canadian Chad Pietroniro for the rest of the season.
