Man-of-the-match Ben Davies and Cody Donaghey both scored two goals in Cardiff Devils opening night victory against Glasgow Clan

Cardiff Devils won 3-2 at Sheffield Steelers, their second win on the opening weekend of their 2023-24 Elite League campaign.

Devils won 5-2 against Glasgow Clan on Saturday in the Welsh capital.

On Sunday Ryan Barrow and Cole Ully scored a goal apiece within 10 first-period seconds.

Barrow added a second before Mikko Juusola hit back for Steelers and Devils held on after Josh Nicholls added another in the final period.

Devils enjoyed a comfortable opening win against Clan.

After Michael Pelech opened for the visitors, Justin Crandall, Ben Davies and Cody Donaghey seized the first-period initiative for the hosts.

Donaghey and Davies struck again before Alex Forbes hit back.

Cardiff Devils are next in action at Nottingham Panthers on Saturday, 7 October (19:00 BST) and host Belfast Giants the following day (18:00 BST).
