Cole Sanford was Cardiff's leading scorer last season with 46 goals and 38 assists,

Cole Sanford scored twice as Cardiff Devils won 5-3 at Guildford Flames to remain on course for the last eight of the Challenge Cup.

Sanford opened the scoring before Samuel Talbot levelled for Flames but Jamie Arniel restored Devils' lead.

Brandon Alderson put the visitors further in front before Ryan Hughes replied.

Sanford's second and Cole Lily sealed a third win over Flames in the competition before Ryan Tait's consolation.

Devils remain top of Group B and host Coventry Blaze in the competition on Saturday, 28 October.
