The Cardiff Devils got revenge for their Boxing Day defeat with a 3-2 win over the Coventry Blaze in south Wales.

Josh MacDonald gave the Devils an early lead before Joey Martin doubled their advantage two minutes later.

Jackson Cressey cut the lead to one goal as Coventry got off the mark in the middle period, but a shorthanded goal from Evan Mosey restored Cardiff's two-goal lead.

Blaze threw everything at the Devils in the third period, but left it too late as their second goal - scored by Grayson Constable - came with just two seconds left on the clock.

The Devils move four points clear at the top of the Elite League, while third-place Coventry miss the chance to close the gap on Belfast Giants.
