Devils sign defenceman Batch for 13th season

Josh Batch has spent his entire career at Cardiff Devils, but for a brief stint with Manchester Storm during the Covid-shortened 2020-21 season

Cardiff Devils have re-signed long-serving defenceman Josh Batch for the 2024-25 season.

Batch, 33, impressed for Devils last season, playing in 72 of 73 games in all competitions and scoring two goals and 13 assists.

He also represented Great Britain at the IIHF World Championships in May.

Next season will be Batch’s 13th with Devils, where he has spent the majority of his career.

“Josh exceeded my expectations of him this past season,” said Devils head coach Pete Russell.

“I felt he played with confidence all season long and deserved the extra ice time he played this season.”
