Cardiff Devils have signed Canadian forward Brett Ferguson.
Ferguson spent seven years with Guildford Flames – including four seasons as captain - before his departure in April
The 35-year-old, who played for five seasons with the University of Alberta Golden Bears in his native Canda, can play centre or wing.
"Brett's game will suit our style of play. His experience of the league and his leadership skills will make us a better team," Devils head coach Paul Thompson said.
"He plays hard at both ends of the ice and he is difficult to play against. I'm very pleased we were able to pick up a player of Brett's ability."
Ferguson is expected to feature in this weekend's Elite League triple header in Scotland where they face Glasgow Clan, Dundee Stars and Fife Flyers on successive days.
His signing comes after Nolan Yaremko was ruled our for a few months with a lower body injury.
