  17. Welcome to Hockey Sunday in Belfastpublished at 15:48 Greenwich Mean Time 17 November 2024

Belfast Giants v Glasgow Clan, 16:00 GMT

After clinching top seed for the Challenge Cup semi-finals, despite losing in overtime to Fife last night, the Belfast Giants will be looking to ignite a winning streak to get themselves going in the Elite League title race.

Even at this relatively early stage the Giants lie in fifth place and despite having three games in hand on leaders Cardiff they find themselves nine points behind and more ominously perhaps, three points behind Sheffield but having played a game more.

The Clan have qualified for the play-in game to the Challenge Cup semi-finals after finishing second in Pool B behind the Giants but own a 3-8 record in the league and so they need vital points to move up from their current position of ninth
