Glasgow 2014: Gemma Gibbons in England judo squad

Olympic silver medallist Gemma Gibbons has been named in England's squad of 14 for the Commonwealth Games.

Gibbons, 27, became Great Britain's first Olympic judo medallist for 12 years when she finished second at the London Olympics.

Colin Oates, 30, who finished seventh at the London Olympics, has also been picked for the Glasgow Games.

England boss Jan Paterson said: "We will see some high quality performances from this squad."

England judo squad for the Commonwealth Games:

Men: Ashley McKenzie (under 60 kg), Colin Oates (under 66 kg), Jan Gosiewski (under 73 kg), Owen Livesey (under 81 kg), Thomas Reed (under 81 kg), Gary Hall (under 90 kg), Benjamin Fletcher (under 100 kg).

Women: Kelly Edwards (under 52 kg), Nekoda Smythe-Davis (under 57 kg), Faith Pitman (under 63 kg), Megan Fletcher (under 70 kg), Caroline Kinnane (under 78 kg), Gemma Gibbons (under 78 kg), Jodie Myers (over 78 kg).
