Jurgen Klopp’s new assistant manager Zeljko Buvac will be involved in his first Liverpool training session later today having been granted a UK work permit.

The 54-year-old Bosnian will be involved in his first session from 4pm at Liverpool’s Melwood training ground and is now free to take his place alongside Klopp for the match at Spurs on Saturday.

Belgium striker Christian Benteke has still not returned to full training and is therefore considered a major doubt for Klopp’s first game in charge.

The £32m striker has been out with a hamstring problem, having limped out of the draw with Norwich on September 20.

There is still no time-frame for his return.

FA responds to Uefa 'crowd trouble' chargepublished at 12:58

    Football

The English FA has responded to being charged by Uefa - along with the Lithuanian Football Association - over crowd disturbances at the Euro 2016 qualifier on Monday.

"We were naturally concerned to witness scenes of disorder in Lithuania," said the FA's statement.

"However, we must be clear that these incidents did not happen within the official England Supporters Travel Club area, where supporters who had bought tickets from The FA were housed.

"We would encourage the authorities to identify anybody involved in disorder and deal with them appropriately through the criminal system and with banning orders. We will, of course, fully cooperate with Uefa."
