    Paris in the fourth stop in the prestigious outdoor athletics tour.

    The 2023 series visits 14 cities in four continents over five months before September's final in Eugene, Oregon.

    Before then, there are also the World Championships in Budapest in August.

    Three of Great Britain's leading athletes are competing in Paris.

    Keely Hodgkinson won gold at the indoor European Championships in March and starts as one of the favourites in the women’s 800m here in Paris.

    Dina Asher-Smith started her Diamond League campaign in Doha by finishing third in the 100m. The 27-year-old is competing in the 200m this weekend in Paris.

    Laura Muir, winner of world 1500m bronze in 2022, steps up to the 5,000m in Paris. She is joined in an exciting race byFaith Kipyegon, fresh from breaking the women's 1500m world record in Florence last Friday, and Ethiopia's Letesenbet Gidey, who holds the records over 5,000m, 10,000m and half-marathon distances.

    But men's 1500m world champion Jake Wightman has withdrawn from the meet as he continues his recovery from injury.
