Carlos Sainz is putting in a full Thursday shift in the Williams, so while the Spaniard gathers more data on the Bahrain circuit, his team-mate Alex Albon is doing a spell in the commentary box with Sky Sports.

"We're definitely one of the teams focused more on 2026 than this year. But at the same time, the car does feel good. I don't think we've made it worse, that's for sure," said Albon.

"There were some weaknesses with our car last year, especially in the wind, that we didn't really like, and there was a big focus this year to try and fix that.

"It's a good test actually, this track, because it's been windy pretty much the whole time we've been here so far.

    "And so far, so reasonable."
