    Hamilton has set the fastest time overall in sector one but runs wide.

    Former F1 driver Mark Webber, who now manages Oscar Piastri, has been watching on from the McLaren garage.

    Piastri has pipped Liam Lawson to fifth spot. He has completed 23 laps, so far.

    Mercedes' George Russell was on a flying lap and topped the leaderboard, but not for too long.

    Lewis Hamilton whizzed down the circuit in his Ferrari, he set the fastest time in sector one and three and returns to the top spot.

    He has set a lap time now, though. It's a 1:32.719 for the Australian driver.

    The way the paint flows, while he is out on track, will give his engineers important information on air flow around the car.

    It's not long now until lights out.

    The first race of the 2025 Formula 1 season is the Australian Grand Prix at Albert Park in Melbourne, which takes place 14-16 March.

    With an 11-hour time difference between the UK and Melbourne, the race starts at 04:00 GMT.
