They need to win in order to have a chance of making the semi-final.

Australia are pressing high in the opening quarter but have been denied twice by Scotland goalkeeper Amy Gibson.

Tuesday was the busiest day of the Games so far with 37 gold medals settled in all, as the gymanstics came to an end and the athletics started at Alexander Stadium.

Here are a few of the headlines:

• Adam Peaty powered to a first Commonwealth 50m breaststroke title in what he says is his final race at the Games;
• Wales' Olivia Breen beat English rival Sophie Hahn to T37/38 100m gold, while Hanna Cockroft won a first-ever Commonwealth Games medal with gold in a Women's T33/34 100m featuring an England completed a one-two-three;
• England's Jake Jarman claimed his fourth gold on his Commonwealth debut to become the most successful English male gymnast at a single Games, as Joe Fraser won his third gold, Giarnni Regini-Moran added two silvers for England and Alice Kinsella won floor gold;
• Wales' Daniel Salmon and Jarrad Breen defeated England's Jamie Walker and Sam Tolchard to win lawn bowls pairs gold.

Australia smashed the 100-medal mark yesterday as they continue to lead the way in the medal table, with 42 golds and a current total haul of 106 after five days.

England are second with 31 golds and 84 medals overall.

Scotland are seventh, Wales eighth and Northern Ireland 17th.

We've reached day six of the Commonwealth Games, which means we're already halfway through Birmingham 2022!

There are another 30 gold medals to play for on an action-packed Wednesday, with both the men's and women's 100m title among the prizes on offer.
