"Notts continue to make steady progress through the Sussex batting, with the hosts still trailing by 204 at tea and Luke Wells, Ed Joyce and Chris Nash all back in the pavilion.
"Much now depends on Matt Machan, who is 85 not out, and Luke Wright as Sussex battle to take this game into a fourth day
"With just two bonus points in the match Sussex can only collect a maximum of seven if they secure an unlikely draw, while Notts are striving for a maximum 24-points return."
Sam Billings followed the lead of team-mate Ben Harmison by scoring a century as Kent put themselves firmly on course for victory over Essex at Tunbridge Wells.
Following Harmison's 123 before lunch, Billings hit an unbeaten 100 off 113 balls before the declaration came.
Matthew Hunn quickly removed Essex's openers and the key wickets of Ravi Bopara and Jesse Ryder followed as the visitors reached tea still 307 in arrears.
BBC Radio Solent's Kevan James at the Ageas Bowl:
"It has been a slow afternoon session on a docile pitch, with Hampshire adding 62 runs for the loss of two wickets.
"The wait for a top-six Hampshire batsman to get a Championship hundred this season goes on after Will Smith fell for 85."
BBC Radio Leeds' Dave Callaghan at Scarborough:
"Champions Yorkshire are pushing for victory at Scarborough on the third afternoon. The visitors were bowled out for 280 in their first innings and were asked to follow on 150 behind.
"Again, Yorkshire have taken wickets at regular intervals. Jack Brooks grabbed a couple and spinner Adil Rashid produced a stunning spinning delivery to bowl Joe Clarke for 21."
BBC Radio Wales Sport's Nick Webb at Colwyn Bay:
"Glamorgan lost skipper Jacques Rudolph and Will Bragg before tea to Kyle Jarvis after following on 350 runs behind Division Two leaders Lancashire.
"Seamer Glenn Chapple took 4-62 in the Glamorgan first innings, while last man Michael Hogan finished up as top-scorer with a career-best 57."
BBC Radio Wales Sport's Nick Webb at Colwyn Bay:
"Glamorgan managed to scramble three batting bonus points against Lancashire, despite Glen Chapple taking his fourth wicket of the innings early on.
"Graham Wagg hit four sixes in his 45 before falling to Arron Lilley, while the last-wicket stand between Michael Hogan and Dean Cosker meant a delayed lunch."
Ben Harmison hit a superb 123 as Kent extended their lead over Essex to 267 on the third morning at Tunbridge Wells.
Harmison, the younger brother of ex-England fast bowler Steve, hit 20 fours before he was caught off Ravi Bopara just before lunch.
He shared partnership of 134 with Darren Stevens (76) and 99 with Sam Billings, who was 45 not out at the interval.

"Harry Gurney must like playing against Sussex, as he picked up his second five-wicket haul of the season, the first having come at Trent Bridge against the same opponents in June
"Bowling with pace and accuracy, he ripped the Sussex batting apart as the hosts subsided from 79-0 to 213 all out in an abject batting performance
"Chris Read had no hesitation in enforcing the follow on and was immediately rewarded with the wicket of Luke Wells for a duck as Sussex reached lunch still in arrears by 343."
BBC Newcastle's Martin Emmerson at The Ageas Bowl:
"It's been a decent morning for the hosts who have reached 192-4, losing just the one wicket this morning for 73 runs.
"That wicket was Michael Carberry, who was on 73 when he edged spinner Ryan Pringle to Paul Collingwood at first slip. Collingwood put Carberry down off Pringle's first ball yesterday when he was on 18.
"Will Smith is reminding his former team-mates of what he can do and is currently on 61.
"Meanwhile, Durham batsman Gordon Muchall, who scored 145 yesterday, has revealed he has been told he's not likely to have his contract renewed at the end of the season."
BBC Leeds' Dave Callaghan at Scarborough:
"Title favourites Yorkshire have had a cracking morning at Scarborough against relegation threatened Worcestershire.
"Wickets fell steadily as the visitors were bowled out for 280 allowing Andrew Gale to enforce the follow on with a lead of 150.
"In the Worcestershire second innings, Richard Oliver went for 14 to Tim Bresnan and they are going to need some big partnerships to avoid defeat."
Warwickshire are up to second in the Division One table as they completed a seven-wicket win over Somerset on the final morning at Edgbaston.
Set just 71 to win, the Bears knocked off the runs in 28.3 overs, but lost three wickets in the process.
Alfonso Thomas, Jim Allenby and Craig Overton were the successful bowlers, with Jonathan Trott caught off the latter for a seven-ball duck.
Laurie Evans (36 not out) and Sam Hain (10no) saw Warwickshire home on 74-3.
Glamorgan face an uphill battle against Lancashire at Colwyn Bay, having been reduced to 165-6 in response to the visitors' massive 698-5 declared on day two.
Alviro Petersen and Ashwell Prince stole the headlines on Monday, both hitting double centuries to put on 501 for the third wicket.
And, at Tunbridge Wells, Kent will resume their first innings on the third day 420-4, replying to Essex's 260.
Warwickshire are on the brink of victory over Somerset at Edgbaston, resuming on 6-0 but requiring only a further 65 runs to win.
County Championship leaders Yorkshire are on top against Worcestershire, having reduced their visitors to 195-6 on the second day, trailing by 235 runs.
Sussex are in trouble against Nottinghamshire at Horsham, 157-4 in reply to the visitors' commanding 570-7 declared, while Hampshire are 119-3 against Durham at the Ageas bowl, trailing by 302 in the first innings.
