BBC Radio Solent's Kevan James at the Ageas Bowl:
"Hampshire claimed maximum batting bonus points for the first time this season as Liam Dawson (140) hit his first Championship hundred of the summer.
"Some lusty hitting at the end enabled Hampshire to reach their fifth point with 5 balls to spare.
"It could have been worse for Yorkshire as Balance (14*) has already been dropped in the gully."
BBC Newcastle's Martin Emmerson at Chester-le-Street:
"No play has been possible on day two, despite the best efforts of the ground staff, with umpires Nigel Llong and Richard Kettleborough deciding the outfield is too wet following torrential rain earlier.
"Bottom club Worcestershire are 223-4 in their first innings.
"Durham have now lost 612 overs this season, most of them since July."
Play has been abandoned for the day in Warwickshire's home game against Notts, with the visitors reaching 16-0 in the four over of play possible - England Test squad newcomer Alex Hales making six not out.
Leicestershire v Essex has been washed out without a single ball bowled for the second day running at Grace Road, and it was a similar story in Kent's game against Gloucestershire at Canterbury, where the home side reached 67-1 on day one.
BBC Radio Wales Sport's Nick Webb at Wantage Road:
"Northants seamer Rory Kleinveldt has enjoyed himself between the showers at Wantage Road with figures of 3-28 to leave Glamorgan in trouble.
"He dismissed Colin Ingram and Aneurin Donald in the two brief spells of play that were possible in the afternoon session."
BBC Radio Leeds' Dave Callaghan at the Ageas Bowl:
"A late start and a late lunch in Southampton following morning rain and the Hampshire pair of Liam Dawson and Sean Ervine have bossed the proceedings.
"They extended their partnership to 111 at lunch and just before the interval Dawson took 11 from an Adam Lyth over to bring up his century.
"He was 102 not out at the interval, with Ervine on 41."
BBC Sussex's Adrian Harms at Hove:
"Overnight rain delayed the start by 90 minutes this morning, but that did not stop Michael Yardy from completing the 23rd hundred of his first-class career on his farewell appearance at Hove
"Yardy, who was a member of England's World T20-winning side in 2010 but returned home from the 2011 World Cup because of depression, was out soon after, leaving the field to a standing ovation and handshakes from the Somerset players.
"Both sides are on course for maximum bonus points but Sussex will be the more content side having been 171-6 on the opening afternoon."
Following a washout on the opening day, just four overs were possible on the second morning between Warwickshire and Notts at Edgbaston because of the weather.
Alex Hales, named in England's squad for the Test series against Pakistan in the UAE, reached six not out, with Brendan Taylor on eight.
Surrey fell short of maximum bonus points on the second morning of the Division Two title decider at Old Trafford despite positive batting against Lancashire.
The visitors added 137 to their overnight 262-4 for the loss of three wickets, including Jason Roy for 66 and Gary Wilson 51 following a sixth-wicket stand of 95. Earlier Steven Davies (34) became England paceman Jimmy Anderson's second victim of the innings.
Weather has again disrupted the morning session in the County Championship.
There will be no play before lunch in the Durham v Worcestershire and Northants v Glamorgan games.
Meanwhile, an early lunch is being taken at Grace Road, with a view to Leicestershire's home game against Essex getting under way at 13:00 BST.
