Daniels back into the attack. Taylor with a wristy, Pietersen-esque flick drive to the mid-on boundary.

"We talked about sixes becoming important and if England can start to clear the ropes it gets them back in that mix."

  3. Eng 37-2 (target 132)published at 4 overs

South Africa look pumped - Tryon gave it the big double fist-pump after that wicket. This would be a big series win for them. But Heather Knight has no intention of letting that happen - she steps out of her crease and whacks Tryon over midwicket for six.

"You can't keep Lee out of the action. Bit of a loose shot from Edwards, she knows she is strong on the leg-side but she kind of just worked it in the air."

  5. wicket

    Edwards c Lee b Tryon 2 (Eng 30-2)

That's loose from the England skipper - clipping new bowler Tryon aerially into the leg side and picking out Lizelle Lee on the fence. Big breakthrough for South Africa.

"What a player Sarah Taylor is, she lets the ball come right under her eyes. It's just so easy for her."

  7. Eng 30-1 (Edwards 2, Taylor 13)published at 3 overs

An immediate bowling change - Ayabonga Khaka is brought into the attack. I wouldn't imagine that will have pleased the fiery Ismail. Taylor steps down the wicket to a wide delivery and flashes a drive to the cover boundary. Taylor is looking in imperious form here - another slightly wide delivery gets the same treatment, just in a slightly squarer area.

Centuries from Joe Burns and Steve Smith helped Australia dominate New Zealand on day two of the second Test in Christchurch.

Resuming on 57-1 after Brendon McCullum scored the fastest Test century off 54 balls on the opening day, Australia reached 363-4, trailing by seven runs.

Opener Burns made 170 - his third Test century - and captain Smith 138, his 10th hundred in his past 32 innings.

They shared a third-wicket stand of 289 but both fell late on to Neil Wagner.

  9. Eng 21-1 (target 132)published at 2 overs

The in-form Sarah Taylor is the new batter, and it's Moseline Daniels to open the bowling from the other end. Taylor picks up her third delivery and plays a lofted flick over the infield that races to the mid-wicket boundary.

"Ismail got Amy Jones coming forward and she absolutely loved it - she had a lot to say to her."

  11. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 1 over

    Jones c Chetty b Ismail (Eng 14-1)

But South Africa strike back! The ball after being driven for a third boundary of the over, Ismail has her revenge, drawing Jones forward and inducing a thin edge through to the keeper. Ismail gives Jones one heck of a send-off too - that may even catch the eye of the match referee.

"That's what Amy Jones has been sent in to do and Charlotte Edwards is telling her to keep it going."

  13. Eng 8-0published at 0.3 overs

Shabnim Ismail takes the ball for South Africa. Whoa there - Jones cracks a pull that brushes the fingertips of a leaping Marizanne Kapp at mid-wicket on its way to the fence, then follows it up with a flowing cover drive for a second consecutive boundary. Good start for England.

Thanks Jamie. So, this one very much evenly poised as we enter the second innings. Can Amy Jones and Charlotte Edwards get England off to a good start?

OK, the England openers are waiting with intent on the boundary edge and to see how they fare here is James Gheerbrant.

"On this wicket, with the ball not swinging early doors, I think the game is in the balance, with England maybe still slight favourites. South Africa would have wanted 150, but they'll be happy with what they made of what they got, and it's not going to be easy for England. They'll have in their minds that they could have had South Africa 60 all out."

  18. 'Today was my day'published at 09:20 Greenwich Mean Time 21 February 2016

South Africa's Lizelle Lee, who made 69 off 61 balls, on Sky Sports: "I just felt today is my day. With the dropped catch, I thought I had to capitalise on that. The wicket's not easy so I think we'll be able to defend that."

  19. Postpublished at 09:19 Greenwich Mean Time 21 February 2016

Well 131 would not have won either of the first two matches, England making 147 and 156, with Sarah Taylor making 140 runs on her own from those two games.

"The momentum has swung South Africa's way. The way England started, they had the rub of conditions, but the way South Africa have fought back has got to give them a bit of a buzz."
